Modern Jive is the biggest partner dance style in the U.K. The dance is similar to Salsa, but without the complicated footwork. If you are a beginner or an experienced dancer, our dance lessons will help you improve week by week. Our lessons are structured to breakdown and cover all aspects of Modern Jive, from spinning to body rolls to learning the WOW moves like you see on strictly come dancing. ViBe holds dance classes for adults in Bexleyheath and Foots Cray in Kent. Come and join us you can start taking the lead.
Beginners class start at 8pm. At 8.45 there is a second beginners class and an Intermediates/Advance dance class simultaneously.
Freestyle (Dancing and socialising) will start at 9.30pm until 11pm.

Sunday, 5th February 2012 - ***NEW*** V Dance Sidcup
Another great Sunday event starting Sunday, 5th February at Sidcup Working Mans Club, 169 Main Road, Sidcup DA14 6PD. Candle lit tables in a fully air conditioned venue, a full range of hot drinks and a licenced bar will be available. Plenty of parking and a great dance floor. Entrance fee only 7 which includes snacks & cakes and lots of dancing with resident DJ Dwain! Tea dance starts 3 pm until 6 pm.
ViBe Wednesday at Bexleyheath now open
The new home for ViBe on a Wednesday evening is Bexleyheath School, Woolwich Road, Bexleyheath DA6 7DA. This modern venue is well maintained with a large dance area for up to 300 dancers, air cooled and in a central location with lots of parking. There is no bar on the premises so you can bring your own alcoholic drink (soft drinks will be sold). Come along and check it out for yourself on Wednesdays.
There is a car park to the front of the school (Woolwich Road) and plenty of on street parking however this car gate will be closed if the car park is full to prevent people parking on the grass verges. We recommend using the Goals football car park (DA6 7EG) which is at the rear of the school which is at the end of Graham Road. (past Asda car park).

Sunday, 29th January - V Dance Tea Dance
Come along to Sunday, 29th January 2012 at Metrogas, Forty Footway, Avery Hill Road, New Eltham SE9 2EX. Expect a chilled atmosphere at the most relaxed Sunday T dance there is. Entrance fee only 7 which includes tea, coffee and festive cake and lots of dancing! Tea dance starts 3 pm until 6 pm(ish) but not finishing earlier than 6 pm!
V Dance Sunday Changes
At ViBe we always try to offer our customers good value for money at all of our events and the V Dance is no exception. At the end of last year the management at Metrogas made policy changes which included a restriction on hirers bringing their own food to the hall and also a significant hike in the rental price. Sadly this has made the V Dance at Metrogas non viable and therefore we were left with no alternative but to find an alternative venue. February and March V Dances will remain at Metrogas. The last Sunday will be on Sunday, 25th March 2011.
I am pleased to announce that we are not going far, just around the corner to the Sidcup Working Men's Club ("SWMC"), 169 Main Road, Sidcup DA14 6PD. This venue will replace Metrogas and the date will be moved from the end of the month to the second Sunday (normally) of the month from April. SWMC has a fantastic dance floor, on site parking and air conditioning along with a cheap licensed bar However we do regret that we cannot offer free hot drinks or water at this venue but a full range of hot drinks will be provided by the venue from 60p. This venue will open on Sunday, 5th February.
From April (date to be confirmed) we will be opening a second venue for our Sunday V Dances. This will take the same format as Metrogas did i.e. hot drinks, cakes etc will be included in the entrance price. This stunning new hall at St Anselm RC Church Community Centre, West Hill, Dartford, Kent, DA1 2HJ is a great find for a V Dance as it has full kitchen facilities, a large car park, air conditioning, is licensed to sell alcohol. This event will normally be on the last Sunday of every month.
The entry cost to both events remains at £7. Please check the website as dates may vary for both events up until April due to prior bookings or pick up a V Dance flyer with all the dates
